[Seoul] Oh Se-hoon "Let's run with the determination to lift half of the regulations for the economy."

Mayor Oh held his sixth emergency economic meeting today (19th) and emphasized drastic deregulation, saying, "To overcome Korea's low growth crisis, we need to revitalize the private economy and work with the determination to lift half of the regulations."

Mayor Oh said that he has continued to abolish regulations on housing and urban planning since the 8th popular election, but he still has a long way to go. In particular, he stressed that he will form a separate TF in the construction sector to examine the overall system, including complex deliberations, licensing procedures, and unreasonable public contributions, and quickly come up with measures to remove regulations.

In the future, the regular executive meeting in the market will be changed into a deregulation meeting and held every month, and differences between departments related to deregulation will be adjusted through joint meetings of the 1st and 2nd vice mayors, and regulations subject to deregulation will be discovered and deliberated through a working-level meeting organized by the keynote room.

Mayor Oh said, "We hope that public officials who actively work on deregulation for citizens will greatly expand incentives, including promotions and rewards, and also work hard to protect employees who have achieved results by utilizing the active administrative immunity system."
