Coach Choi Yong-soo (hereinafter Choi): I'm a little unfamiliar with entertainment, but I wanted to tell you about things the audience didn't know, such as the preparation process for the game and how to communicate through "Shooting Star." Retired players are also friends who played as players when I was a coach, so it was good to meet them again like this. From the manager's point of view, rather than putting pressure or pressure on him, he is trying to create such an atmosphere where he can play happy soccer.

Q. Did you see hope after the first game or were you worried?
Choi: I was a little worried. Some friends have long hiatus after retirement, and some have just retired. I don't want to lose, so I wondered if I could do well. However, I feel rewarded because the team is getting better as I train and play more.

Q. How do you recruit or deploy players?
Choi: Once he joined the 'Shooting Star', he organized it mainly with players who could blend well into the team atmosphere. I was worried about doing my best (because it's not an actual league), but he did better than I expected. I recruited them by communicating with the production team, and there were a lot of players I wanted, and there were friends who shouldn't come in... (All laughing)

Choi: Ko Yo-han, Shinsegae, Kang Min-soo, and Kim Chang-soo also said they wanted to be very active. But wasn't Young Min coming in as a coach? Hahaha. He's a really mature friend even though he's not that old. Seeing that he encourages his juniors and gives them feedback on the game, he is a friend who has a lot to learn even though he is a coach. Soccer is a sport that you can't endure if you can't run, but I was also worried about whether you can do it. But he covered everything with his ability to run the game. As such, friends with various stories are gathered in "Shooting Star."

Q. The director often says "a woke leader".
Choi: Previously, rigidity, or any compromise, was never made, but only thought of the outcome. But I've learned that there are many more important factors other than that. This time, I am trying to create a comfortable atmosphere in communication with the players. Rather than "I'm going to do it because the director tells me to do it," I want to induce them to bring out what they have. Tell the players 'anything'. I think I said that often, 'I'll listen to you on your side'. In order for the coach to succeed anyway, he must eventually move the minds of the players. In that sense, I wanted to change the existing image a little.

Q. Is it okay to change the image? Shouldn't we go back to the professional team? Article

: They named their title song 'Tom and Jerry Theme'. At first, the chemistry between the two of you, who wondered if they could not fit like this, comes to life.
Choi : It still doesn't fit. I thought I was going to die of frustration. Still, I'm very happy to meet the woke leader and see this development gradually. Haha.
: Coach Seol said that he wasn't very close to Choi when he was a player, but he felt like he was really close to him since a long time ago after "Shooting Star."

Q. There are already a lot of injuries, so what are your concerns about the remaining team management? Article
: The youth players are strengthened because general manager Park and manager Choi value youth. In a way, injuries are a very important story line for this sport. Why does that person have such a hard time when he is injured, how hard it is to return, and how it feels when he returns. These things became very important stories. Choi: The strength is desperation. I saw my desire to contribute more to the team than when I was active. I really didn't want to lose, and I worked hard because they were friends who wanted to win. When I look back on my childhood while playing with colleagues I haven't met, I feel how I should design it. I feel sorry for missing such an opportunity.

Q. What do you emphasize the most to the players as a manager?
Choi: Let's play 'happy soccer'. He must have lived a difficult life by fiercely self-management to achieve his dreams from an early age and constantly competing even as an adult. They've already experienced them all, but I don't think it's necessary to put pressure, pressure, and stress on them. So he said, 'Let's play happy soccer, but let's show that we're really alive when we go into the stadium.' At the same time, I thought, 'Wouldn't I have become a better player if I had played such fun and happy soccer since I was young?' and 'Why couldn't I say that as a leader?'
