Actress Lee Young-ae filed a lawsuit for damages against a YouTuber who raised rumors of Kim Gun-hee's involvement in her donation, but lost.
On the 20th, the 12th Division of Civil Agreement (Chief Judge Jinyoung Kim) of the Seoul Western District Court ruled that Lee lost the plaintiff in a lawsuit filed against former CEO Jeong Chun-soo of the YouTube channel Open Sympathy TV, asking for 250 million won in compensation.
In October, the court made a decision to recommend reconciliation by suggesting the deletion of the video in question to former representative Chung, the ban on broadcasting related to Lee and Kim's friendship, and reflecting Lee's position when broadcasting Lee's political orientation, but both sides filed objections and the trial proceeded.
Lee donated 50 million won to build the "President Lee Seung-man Memorial" in September last year, and Open Sympathy TV reported that Lee's donation was related to the Yoon Suk Yeol President and his wife.
In response, Lee filed a lawsuit with the court against former CEO Chung, claiming that Open Sympathy TV distributed fake news.
