Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Macau to mark the 25th anniversary of the country's return.

Hong Kong, which suffered anti-China protests, and Taiwan, which seeks independence, have launched "one country, two systems."

A sixth batch of administration officials to lead Macau over the next five years will be sworn in in front of President Xi Jinping.

Sam Hou-Fai, who was appointed the first mainland chief executive, pledged allegiance under his Chinese name.

[Sam Hou-Fai / 6th Macao Administrative Minister: Chen Hao-hui (Chinese name of Sam Hou-Fai) takes oath. I will be faithful to my duty, abide by the law, and serve with integrity.]

President Xi Jinping, who visited Macau to mark the 25th anniversary of the handover, praised it as an example of "one country, two systems."Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee called in

and ordered that Macau should be imitated.

[Xi Jinping / Chinese President: Macao's remarkable achievements over the past five years have been attributed to the full and faithful implementation of one country, two systems]

Macau graduated from Portuguese rule in 112 and was returned to China on December 20, 1999.

Since then, it has grown into a casino and tourism city with full support from the Chinese government, and GDP has jumped five times.

Unlike Hong Kong, there has never been an anti-China protest, nor has it sought independence like Taiwan.

Rather, when President Xi arrived in Macau, the mobilized residents waved flowers in both hands and shouted:

"Welcome, Welcome! Welcome enthusiastically!"

Just in time, former Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou, who has been pro-China, visited Harbin with a youth delegation.

It is no coincidence that the satellite was launched across Taiwan's air defense identification zone in time for the anniversary of Macau's return.

China, which wants to tie Hong Kong and Taiwan under "one country, two systems," is using the 25th anniversary of the return of Macau as a means of propaganda.
