Many point out that it is hard to find self-reflection within the ruling party after the passing of the impeachment motion of the president of Yoon Suk Yeol.

There are also concerns that if we focus only on reflective interests such as "Lee Jae-myung trial risk" without responsible reflection and reform efforts, we will face a bigger crisis.

Reporter Park Kwang-ryul reports.

After the approval of President Yoon's impeachment, he met with the leaders of the ruling party and ministers of each department one after another, and held a high-level government-party council.

It was intended to minimize confusion in state affairs, but some interpreted it as an intention to make it clear that the ruling party is the main body of state affairs during the impeachment trial.

[Kwon Seong-dong / Acting People's Power (Yesterday): National defense and security are the basic orders that support the nation and are the foundation for the protection of the Constitution. Therefore, the appointment of the Minister of Defense and the Minister of Public Administration and Security is urgent.]

With three candidates for the Constitutional Court recommended by the National Assembly, he also put forward the "no appointment of acting president."

Without the appointment of a new judge, the impeachment can only be cited unanimously by six current judges, raising speculation that the intention is to delay the impeachment trial as much as possible to prevent it as much as President Lee Jae-myung.

In fact, the ruling party said that the declaration of emergency martial law was clearly wrong, but pointed out the way the Democratic Party of Korea operated the National Assembly, including the abuse of impeachment, and highlighted Lee Jae-myung and the large opposition party's responsibility.

Representative Lee also counterattacked that the second trial should be completed by February 15 next year, saying that he would delay the trial by not receiving a notice of trial.

[Choi Hyung-doo / Member of the People's Power (KBS Radio's 'Sudden Investigation of Ko Seong-guk' on the 18th): It seems that the trial will be delayed to three months (after the first trial's ruling), and the timing of the third trial will be delayed....]

However, many point out that the "self-reliance theory" in the ruling party, which should precede such criticism, is missing.

[Yoo Seung Min / Former lawmaker of the People's Power (SBS Radio 'Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show' on the 18th): There is no letter of apology from the party. And then they're fighting for power among themselves. If the conservatives know shame, cannot judge right or wrong, this party continues to shrink....]

Currently, 59 out of 90 lawmakers in the ruling party's district are in the Yeongnam area, while only 18 are in the metropolitan area.

This is in contrast to the fact that when former President Park Geun Hye was impeached eight years ago, 52 of 111 lawmakers in the ruling party's districts, but 36 in the Seoul metropolitan area.

This is why some analysts say that the more concentrated seat structure in Yeongnam and the public opinion of the so-called "core rigid supporters" are more conscious.

In addition, the fact that less than half a year has yet to be served as a member of the National Assembly is also cited as a factor in the disappearance of self-reliance.

As there is time until the next general election, there is also a glimpse of the atmosphere to avoid "traitor coordinates" for now until the impeachment situation calms down.

Many point out whether it is for the conservatives as a whole to emphasize a single generation rather than self-reflection, and whether it is for the sake of their political future, the pro-Yoon-gye, who has always emphasized a common destiny with the president.
