During the December 3 emergency martial law incident, the military council tried to find out the truth about the entry and exit of soldiers with guns at the Gangwon Yanggu County Office, but it was canceled.

The Yanggu County Council held its fifth plenary session yesterday (24th) morning to ask and answer questions to find out the truth, but it eventually broke up because Mayor Seo Hong-won did not show up in the afternoon after delaying the schedule.

He then said he proposed an administrative investigation to the chairman, saying he was very sorry that the meeting to find out the truth did not proceed properly due to the county chief's absence.

In response, Yanggu-gun said that the parliament informed the county governor to attend the afternoon meeting after 11 a.m., and explained that according to laws and ordinances, the request for attendance and testimony by local government heads or related officials should be made no later than three days.

In a related development, the Gangwon Provincial Party of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party held a press conference in front of the Yanggu County Council earlier and urged the military to clarify who was under the command of the troops who were dispatched at the time the emergency decree was issued and to find out the truth.
