King Charles III of England thanked medical staff for their efforts to treat cancer for himself and his daughter-in-law, Princess Kate Middleton, for Christmas.

King Charles made the announcement in a Christmas message to the nation, prerecorded at the chapel of an old hospital in London and released on the 25th.

The English king's Christmas message is usually recorded at Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle, which earlier said the king would break tradition and deliver the message where it has something to do with healthcare as he continues his cancer treatment.

King Charles expressed his condolences, saying he cannot help but think of people suffering from conflicts in the Middle East, Central Europe, and Africa this Christmas.

He also cited the anti-immigrant riots after a deadly rampage by an immigrant from Rwanda killed three children in Britain this summer, stressing that diversity in culture, race and religion can be a strength.
