Controversy continues over the impeachment of Han Deok-soo, the acting president, which the Democratic Party of Korea launched, over "what is the quorum of the plenary session's decision?"
The power of the people needs 200 lawmakers to approve the impeachment bill. On the other hand, the Democratic Party of Korea is in a position that 151 people is enough, so considerable confusion is expected.

The People's Power has repeatedly made it clear that the impeachment of acting Han Deok-soo requires the consent of 200 lawmakers.
Since the acting president is in a position equivalent to that of the president, two-thirds of the registered lawmakers, or more than 200, must be approved.
[Kwon Seong-dong / People's Power Floor Leader: Han Deok-soo is now acting as the president. The reason for the Democratic Party's impeachment is also the president's job.]
In particular, he argued that the commentary published by a research institute under the Constitutional Court in the past stipulates that the standard of "represented public officials" must be applied to impeach the acting president.
The Democratic Party, however, maintains that only 151 lawmakers need to approve the impeachment because the acting president is not an official title and is not an elected power.
Nevertheless, he dismissed that the people's power is only intended to delay the impeachment process.
[Kang Yoo-jung / Minjoo Party floor spokesman: I think (200 claims) are against the public's desire to overcome the instability of the presidential suspension and complete the impeachment.]
In addition, he did not leave out the claim that the acting prime minister's track record is full of illegal and illegal issues that are grounds for impeachment.
The president, who the ruling party cited as an example, also said that "illegal acts that took place during the original duties of the acting president are subject to impeachment in their original status," which is read as an argument in line with this.
While the arguments of the ruling and opposition parties are sharply divided, it is true that the National Assembly's legislative investigation office and academia also have various opinions.
First of all, the National Assembly Speaker's office, which holds the key to interpretation, is in a position that the quorum of votes has not been confirmed, and even if the standard is 200, the impeachment bill will be passed if only eight members of the ruling party leave the party.
In the case of Han's impeachment, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Choi Sang-mok will take over as acting president, and some opposition parties have raised a series of impeachment. There is a prospect that it is difficult to guarantee even the system of
acting as an acting president', but the settlement of the political situation is not expected to be smooth after the vote on Han's impeachment.
