◆ Cho Tae-hyun: Pet dry room products on the market, I told you that the Korea Consumer Agency evaluated the quality, but there are more than one or two products. Was there a selection criteria?

◇ Na Eun-soo: Pet Dry Room is a product exclusively for pets that automatically dries and dries their fur by adjusting the temperature and wind strength after bathing them. Through a survey of 700 consumers who have purchased and used pet dry rooms or are willing to purchase them in the future, we selected 7 all-in-one products from brands with high preference for purchase.

◆ Cho Tae-hyun: I heard you prepared the evaluation criteria based on consumer surveys.

◇ Na Eun-soo: We tested and evaluated the core quality of the pet dry room, such as drying performance, noise, deviation from the set temperature, electricity bill, and stability.

◆ Cho Tae-hyun: Then let's take a look one by one. Since it's a pet dry room, I think the most important thing is the drying function. What was it like?

◇ Na Eun-soo: The average drying rate was checked for poodles weighing 7.5kg who completed the dog hair artificial fur and actual bathing for 15 minutes with a maximum air volume set at 40°C. Cucu Electronics' ND-A0610FG product had the best average drying rate of 86.3% while the remaining six products ranged from 53.2% to 69.9%.

◇ Na Eun-soo: When operating at maximum air volume, the maximum noise inside and outside was the quietest at 67.9dB inside and 38.6dB outside of Petmally's M10 product. The noise we measured is not a noise standard heard by a companion animal, but a noise standard heard by a person, and the relative noise may vary depending on the type of companion animal.

◆ Cho Tae-hyun: And the important thing is the drying temperature, I think. The temperature shouldn't be too hot. There must be a temperature difference for each product, right?

◇ Naengsoo: As a result of setting the drying temperature at 40℃, installing 15 temperature sensors inside the product, and measuring the average temperature for 15 minutes, three products, including Cucu Electronics' ND-A0610FG, Catchwell's PD281, and Pet Mali's M10, were excellent with a deviation of 0.8 degrees compared to the set temperature.

◆ Cho Tae-hyun: I think this is also very important, so would there be any burden of electricity bills?

◇ Na Eun-soo: Due to the nature of the skin, pets do not bathe every day, so the electricity bill was not burdensome. According to the survey, there was no significant difference in annual energy costs from 120 won to 360 won for each product when operating once a month, 40°C, and 15 minutes, which are the most responsive bath cycles.

◇ Na Eun-soo: In order to eliminate the alertness of the pet dry room, please first conduct adaptation training after purchasing the product and stop using it immediately if your pet is not in good condition or refuses to dry. And make sure to check the condition of your pet from time to time without leaving the dry room in operation, and do not operate with cushions, pillows, towels, etc. in the product to prevent air discharge or abnormal temperature rise.
