Following President Yoon Suk Yeol, the impeachment of Acting President Han Deok-soo was passed by the National Assembly on the 27th, and major foreign media quickly reported it as a major article.

Reuters and AFP reported that the impeachment motion was passed in the afternoon.

"A majority of the National Assembly voted for Han's impeachment," Reuters said.

AFP also reported that "Korean lawmakers impeached Han as acting president," and China's Xinhua News Agency urgently transmitted the same.

Foreign media were deeply interested in the situation of Korea's National Assembly with major news even before the impeachment vote.

The New York Times reported on its website, "As the president waits for an impeachment trial, even the interim leader may be kicked out," adding, "Political uncertainty is causing economic pain, with corporate and consumer confidence falling and the exchange rate soaring."

The Guardian also published an article on the first screen of its website highlighting the fact that the first hearing preparation date for President Yoon's impeachment trial at the Constitutional Court and Han's vote to impeach the National Assembly took place on the same day.

Reuters News Agency reported in detail the voting process by breaking news of the main process since the National Assembly plenary session to vote on Han's impeachment.

AFP also sent an emergency article about the process of the National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik's strong protest in front of the chairman's seat when he decided to approve the impeachment with a majority vote.
