President Yoon Suk Yeol delayed most of his answers on the first day of the impeachment trial, citing lack of preparation.
The Constitutional Court held the first hearing of President Yoon's impeachment at 2 p.m. yesterday (27th) and organized the issues and evidence.
At the meeting, President Yoon said he only received documents such as the National Assembly's proof plan in the morning, and that he could not confirm the contents.
At the same time, he said he would submit a document later that included answers to the impeachment resolution, opinions on whether the request for an impeachment trial was legal, and progress from the declaration of martial law to the lifting of martial law.President
Yoon also argued that he did not have enough time to respond to the judgment, but the Constitutional Court said it would fully reflect the request, but said a quick hearing was needed considering the importance of the case.
The Constitutional Court will continue its second hearing preparation period at 2 p.m. on January 3 next year.
