A man wandering the streets suddenly attacks a woman from behind.
At once, he falls over a woman, takes away her bag, and gets on another man's motorcycle waiting nearby.
This is a video taken on CCTV on the street of Korean Town in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In a dizzying situation, it was a taxi driver's base that stopped the two robbers from fleeing.
[Carlos Esperansa / Taxi Driver] I was coming out of the mart and saw (the robbers) snatching a lady's bag. I collided with a motorcycle without hesitation. I saw my mother, who died six months ago from my aunt. She was the same age as my mother. I wouldn't hesitate (to go back to that moment).]
Fortunately, the 77-year-old Korean woman, who was a victim of the taxi driver's swift response, was closed without any serious injuries.
The problem came from somewhere else.
Carlos' taxi was scratched and crushed at the front due to the collision at the time of the incident, as well as the air conditioner and radio inside the vehicle were damaged, making it difficult to operate.
[Carlos/Taxi Driver: The taxi has been broken a lot.]
It was Korean compatriots who gave a helping hand to Mr. Carlos, who has become difficult to make a living!
He started a fundraising campaign to repay Carlos for his courageous actions in saving Korean women.
Each Korean expressed his gratitude to Mr. Carlos by delivering the collected repair costs.
[Lee Kang-jin / Vice President of the Korean Association of Argentina] The car is quite damaged. He said he just hit it with a car to catch it without thinking. I asked him if he'd regret it, but he said he'd never regret it. I put up a fundraising campaign advertisement in the Korean Association group chat room.]
Mr. Carlos was willing to accept the warm helping hands of his countrymen and thanked them.
[Carlos / Taxi Driver] I couldn't believe it when I heard that the Korean Association was helping me. Because it wasn't done with intent. I and my family are very grateful. Thank you.]
Carlos was invited to a Korean-American event shortly afterwards.
Carlos experiences a delicious Korean meal with japchae and gimbap in his arms with a plaque of appreciation prepared by his compatriots.
The precious relationship created by the courage of the moment is deepening in the solidarity and appreciation of the Korean community.
