There have been several requests for promotion to the international airport, but they have been canceled.

However, things changed when the National Aeronautics and Space Administration entered Sacheon, Gyeongsangnam-do.

In the future, the demand for passengers and cargo will increase if the aerospace complex city is established.

South Gyeongsang Province has decided to focus on reflecting the promotion of the international airport in the government's seventh comprehensive plan for airport development.

A working group was formed with nine experts and six working-level officials and began planning for the reorganization of the international airport.
