2024.12.30 PM 11:45
U.S. President Joe Biden has provided additional military aid worth 2.5 billion dollars to Ukraine and 3.68 trillion won in our money, more than 20 days before he leaves office.

In a White House statement on Thursday local time, President Biden announced a security aid package, saying the United States will continue to work tirelessly to strengthen Ukraine's position in the war for the rest of his term.

The aid to Ukraine includes $1.22 billion in arms aid to the stockpile held by the U.S. military through presidential use authority and under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative.

President Biden explained that the ability to continue to have great effects on the battlefield will flow into Ukraine and provide other important weapons systems, such as air defense and artillery, in the long run.

It also directed Ukraine to expand its support as quickly as possible, adding that it would include providing Ukraine with older U.S.-made weapons to deliver them quickly to the battlefield and modernizing U.S. defense industrial bases to replenish them with new weapons.

President Biden's support for Ukraine ahead of President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration on the 20th of next month is interpreted as a measure with the possibility of halting Ukraine aid.
