For the first time in constitutional history, the Crime Investigation Office of high-ranking government officials investigating the emergency martial law situation has launched an arrest warrant for the incumbent president.
The Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit left the Gwacheon Government Complex at around 6:15 a.m. today (3rd) to execute an arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol.
Police deployed 46 task force units and 2,800 experiences around the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Seoul, to maintain order against President Yoon's supporters.
The validity of President Yoon's arrest warrant, which includes charges of rebellion and abuse of authority, expires on the 6th.
