Singer Lee Seung-hwan, whose concert was canceled due to the cancellation of the rental in Gumi City, North Gyeongsang Province, on the 25th of last month, has officially filed a compensation suit against the mayor of Gumi.

Lee Seung-hwan posted a notice link on his Instagram today, saying he is recruiting plaintiffs in connection with the damages lawsuit for the Gumi concert.

Haemaru Lim Jae-sung, a lawyer at Haemaru Law Firm, said he decided to sign a delegation contract only for 100 people who booked the performance in this case in consultation with Lee Seung-hwan.

The amount of compensation claims is 500,000 won each for the performance reservation in this case, and Lee Seung-hwan plans to pay all the litigation costs.

Earlier, the city of Gumi canceled Lee Seung-hwan's performance last month for safety reasons, and Lee has vowed to take legal action, releasing a pledge made by the city, saying, "Don't incite politics."
