Yes, Israeli forces struck Gaza, Palestine, killing 70 people and injuring 270 in a day, foreign media reported.

Reuters quoted Gaza's health ministry as saying on the 4th local time that at least 70 people, including children, were killed in Israeli airstrikes.

Major air raid areas include Kanyunis in southern Gaza and Deir al-Bala in central Gaza, Saraya region in Gaza City, and Jabalia in the north.

The Palestinian Red Crescent says nine employees who were overseeing the transport of humanitarian aid were killed.

Hospital officials told the Associated Press that at least 21 people died in downtown Gaza on the 4th local time alone, two of whom were children.

In addition, a resident of downtown Gaza woke up at around 2 a.m. to a loud explosion, and Israeli forces raided two houses and killed all 14 to 15 people inside, explaining that most of them were women or children.

The Israeli military claimed this week that Hamas operated in northern Gaza, which it uses as a shelter and terrorist base.

On the 4th local time, the South and the Central also carried out operations against Hamas militants, he said, adding that all measures were being taken to reduce civilian damage.

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office said on the 2nd that it would send a delegation to Doha, Qatar, to negotiate a ceasefire, and Hamas also issued a statement on the 3rd saying indirect negotiations would resume in Doha.

But differences have not narrowed on almost all issues, including whether Israeli troops are stationed in the "Philadelfi Corridor" between Gaza and Egypt, the daily Times of Israel reported.

Hamas, meanwhile, has launched a psychological battle by releasing a video of its detained hostage, Liri al-Bag.

In the video, al-Bag complained of pain, saying he was held for 450 days.

Israeli soldier al-Bag was kidnapped while on guard duty during Hamas' October 2023 raid on Israel.
