Special snow warning for Yeongseo, Gangwon Province.Control of some trails in national parks

Amid a heavy snowfall warning in the inland area of Yeongseo, Gangwon-do, access to some national parks in Gangwon-do has been restricted.

There are 18 Mt. Seorak and 7 Mt. Odaesan under control, and one morning flight from Wonju Airport to Jeju Island has also been canceled.

While no damage has been reported due to heavy snow yet, Gangwon-do has been operating the first emergency stage of the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters since yesterday night (4th).

In addition, more than 620 people have been deployed to remove snow on the road.

However, the Yeongdong area on the east coast, unlike the Yeongseo area of Gangwon-do, which was issued by the heavy snow warning, is continuing the dry weather for a long time.
