Army's first active duty military service event this year...More than 200,000 recruits have been trained.

The Army said today that it held its first active-duty military enlistment event in 2025 at the Nonsan Army Training Center in South Chungcheong Province, attended by more than 1,500 conscripts, family members and relatives.

Trainees will complete various educational training programs, including mental strength, ceremonial ceremonies, personal firearms, and individual battles, for six weeks from today.

Ryu Seung-min, the head of the Army Training Center, emphasized that through a safe educational environment and practical educational training, the enlistment soldiers will be reborn as elite soldiers who know and practice the value of patriotic dedication, responsibility completion, and mutual respect.

The army added that it will do its best to become a strong army that carries out the pivotal mission of national defense this year by training more than 200,000 elite soldiers in all of its army training centers and 16 divisional recruitment battalions.
