Civic group begins national petition to expel lawmaker Kwon Sung-dong

Yoon Suk Yeol's resignation The Gangwon Movement Headquarters held a press conference in front of floor leader Kwon Sung-dong's office in Gangneung, Gangwon Province, and said it will launch a national petition campaign to demand the expulsion of lawmakers.

The group claimed that Kwon helped President Yoon Suk Yeol's emergency martial law and acts of civil war, promoted and instigated it with political remarks, and justified the civil war.

In addition, he pointed out that this violates Article 46 (2) of the Constitution, which requires lawmakers to perform their duties according to their conscience by prioritizing the national interest, and Article 90 (2) of the Criminal Act, which punishes propaganda and instigation of civil war.
