Prosecutors have demanded the death penalty for 34-year-old Seo Dong-ha, who killed his ex-lover with a weapon and seriously injured his mother.

The prosecution asked the court to sentence Seo Dong-ha to death at a final hearing held today (7th) at Gimcheon Branch of the Daegu District Court.

Prosecutors explained why they demanded that Seo Dong-ha was reported as a stalking crime, wielded a weapon 55 times against the victim to retaliate, and even tried to kill his mother, who was trying to stop him.

In November last year, Seo Dong-ha was put on trial on charges of killing A and seriously injuring his mother by wielding a weapon in the apartment of his ex-girlfriend A in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province.
