The controversy sparked by the withdrawal of the impeachment of the opposition-centered National Assembly from the impeachment grounds has also emerged as an issue in the Special Committee on the Allegation of Insurrection.
The ruling party insisted that the name of the parliamentary investigation should be redetermined since the crime of rebellion has disappeared, and the opposition party responded that the members of the special committee who went to the official residence should resign to protect the president accused of rebellion.

The People's Power took issue with the National Assembly's impeachment prosecution's withdrawal of the rebellion from the reasons for impeachment from the second meeting of the special committee on parliamentary investigation.
The crime of rebellion has been removed from the reason for President Yoon's impeachment, so we need to change all the signs of 'National Assembly Investigation on Alleged Insurrection' to its purpose.

The opposition party refuted that there is no problem even if it does not consider the establishment of the crime of rebellion under the criminal law, saying that the act of rebellion was only constitutionally organized in accordance with the purpose of the constitutional trial.
[Rep. Baek Hye-ryeon / Democratic Party of Korea: If an employee committed arson,/ the same reason as having the authority to discipline the employee of the management, regardless of whether he or she is guilty of arson or not....]
The opposition party called for the resignation of some ruling party members of the National Assembly Special Committee, saying they could not tolerate them going to the president's official residence suspected of rebellion to obstruct the execution of arrest warrants,
[Yong Hye-in / Basic Income Party Member]: Are you here to obstruct the parliamentary investigation or to root out the civil war?.]
In response, the ruling party strongly protested, saying, "Is it wrong as a public party to point out the illegal execution of warrants by the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit?"

At the meeting, the special committee adopted some 170 people, including Prime Minister Han Deok-soo, Acting Chief Minister Choi Sang-mok, and key military officials, as witnesses to martial law-related organizations.
However, regarding the institutional seal approved at this meeting, the ruling party said it was not an agreed list.
There is a lot of conflict over the attendance of witnesses, and it is expected that the future parliamentary investigation will be difficult due to the sharp war of nerves from the beginning.
