The water pipe freeze alert is level 3 of the four-stage freeze forecast system, which is issued when weather with a daily minimum temperature of less than minus 10 degrees Celsius lasts for more than two days.

A total of 35 cases of freezing water meters occurred this winter from the 23rd of last month to the 6th of this month, and if the temperature below minus 10 degrees Celsius lasts for more than two days, it can freeze even if you wrap the measuring box warm, so turn on the tap water when you go out to keep the water flowing inside the meter.

If you suspect a freeze, such as a broken or swollen glass of a water meter, you can report it to the Kakao Talk channel of the Seoul Arisu Headquarters, the 120 Dasan Call Foundation, or the competent waterworks office.
