In addition, the Democratic Party of Korea announced that it would reissue the Insurrection Special Counsel Act, which was rejected in the re-vote and finally abolished, by changing it to a "third party recommendation" method.

Cho Seung-rae, a senior spokesman, told reporters after a closed Supreme Council meeting that it should be approved overwhelmingly as there were many lawmakers who talked about third-party recommendations in the power of the people.

He also explained that he would consider excluding military secrets from the special prosecutor's briefing or adding foreign exchange crimes to the investigation target during the process of recurrence.

Earlier, the independent counsel for the rebellion, which was proposed by the opposition party, was opposed by the government and the ruling party as unconstitutional by excluding the ruling party's right to recommend candidates for the independent counsel.
