Former National Assembly Speaker Kim Hyung-oh said, "The martial law is a stupid judgment...Korean rookies also see a sharp drop."

Former National Assembly Speaker Kim Hyung-oh criticized President Yoon Suk Yeol's declaration of the December 3 emergency martial law as a silly judgment.

In an interview with the Asahi Shimbun, Kim said Koreans were greatly hurt by stupid judgments, and Korea's credibility, which has been built up externally, must have plummeted.

Former Chairman Kim added that there is nothing too much about the Democratic Party's behavior, but it is nonsense to declare martial law just because you are angry.

He then said that he has advised all three of his weaknesses: alcohol, words, and urgent temperament, but he drinks a lot and gets angry around him whenever he gets the chance and says things he doesn't need to say.

Former Chairman Kim opposed the impeachment of former President Roh Moo Hyun and insisted that former President Park Geun Hye resign on his own, but stressed that the Constitutional Court should thoroughly examine whether it is unconstitutional or illegal as it is a serious case this time.
