Fruit mixed sets, apples, and beef are expected to be popular as a gift set for this year's Lunar New Year.

According to a survey of 3,62 consumers conducted by the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation in December last year, 16.8% of the respondents said they would purchase a fruit-mixed set as a Lunar New Year gift.

It was followed by apples with a narrow margin of 16.2% and beef with 16.1%.

The average gift purchase budget is about 190,000 won, and 43% of consumers planned less than 50,000 won each.

The intention to purchase holy water products was surveyed in the order of beef, logistics, and apples, and the average purchase cost was about 200,000 won.

The places to buy gifts were in the order of large supermarkets, traditional markets, and small and medium-sized supermarkets.
