G7 leaders slam N.Korea's pursuit of nuke, missile programs

Leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) states have "strongly" condemned North Korea's pursuit of their nuclear and missile programs.

The condemnation was made in a joint declaration by the world heads who wrapped up their two-day annual meeting in Germany on Monday. The declaration also accused the communist Pyongyang regime of its "appalling" human rights violations.

The G7 leaders also joined together to pursue low-carbon economies as well as to fight against global warming. The G7 heads agreed to phase out the use of fossil fuels by 2100.
