South Korea has come in 56th on the international soccer body FIFA rankings.
FIFA announced that South Korea's men's football team is ranked third best in Asia, just one notch above their arch-rival Japan.
Iran was ranked 42th in the world but listed as the top Asian team, followed by Australia, which moved up from No. 67 to 50. North Korea was ranked No. 112 in the April rankings, down 18 steps from last month.
Argentina has taken over Belgium at the top.
