Gyeonggi-do Provincial Council Democratic Party Visits Sado Mine Port..."Withdrawal of World Heritage"

The Gyeonggi Provincial Council Democratic Party of Korea's "Visitors to Sado Mine UNESCO World Heritage List" visited Sado Mine in Niigata Prefecture, Japan, today (2nd) and demanded the withdrawal of the World Heritage List.

The visiting delegation consisted of Lee Yong-wook (Paju 3), senior spokesperson for Electronic Young (Yongin 4), senior political affairs secretary Myung Jae-sung (Koyang 5), senior planning secretary Shin Mi-sook (Hwaseong 4), senior communication cooperation secretary Lee Chae-myung (Anyang 6), and Kook Joong-beom (Seongnam 4), chairman of the Japan-Japan Revelation Foreign Affairs Countermeasures Committee, and lawmaker Kim Joon-hyuk (Suwon Jeong) joined.

At the entrance of Sado Mine, the visitors paid silent tribute, read eulogy, and laid flowers to honor the souls of the victims.

"The history of illegal forced mobilization can never be hidden," they said in a statement titled "Return the UNESCO World Heritage List at Sado Mine," adding, "We will move the Korean workers' exhibition hall to the entrance of Sado Mine and fight in solidarity with all walks of life to disclose the list of forced mobilization victims to uncover the historical truth."
