The Seoul Western District Court ordered a 40-year-old man in his 40s, who is suspected of killing an Internet broadcaster in his 20s, to attach a location-tracking electronic device for 25 years and 15 years in prison in the first trial.

His ex-wife, Song, who was also accused of helping Kim escape, was sentenced to six months in prison and one year of probation.

The court criticized that even though the victim ended his life in extreme pain due to Kim's crime, there was no circumstance that Kim felt remorse or guilty to the bereaved family.

In addition, Kim claimed to have had sex, but he/she did not judge separately because he/she was not included in the prosecution, even though he/she suspected that it was a crime aimed at money and valuables, such as Kim's DNA not detected in the victim's body.

In March, Kim was arrested and charged with stealing cash after strangling the victim, an Internet personal broadcasting host, at an officetel in Eunpyeong-gu.
