Regarding the choreography copyright of K-pop content that has not been properly protected, representatives of major agencies have said they will follow the relevant system when it is in place.

Representatives of SM, YG, and JYP Entertainment responded to Min Hyung-bae of the Democratic Party of Korea's Min Hyung-bae's criticism that choreography copyright protection was insufficient at the parliamentary audit of the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee this afternoon.

Jang Chul-hyuk, CEO of SM Entertainment, said, "If the service or system is improved, we will review it internally and follow it."

YG CEO Yang Min-seok and JYP CEO Jung Wook also added that they will pay attention to the rights and interests of authors and consider improving them prospectively when the system is overhauled.

In this regard, Minister Yoo In-chon explained that he should study a system that rewards choreography like music whenever it is used, and that he will announce related contents soon because there is enough research.
