Early voter turnout for the October 16 re- and by-elections was 8.98%...It's the highest in Yeonggwang, South Jeolla Province.

The pre-voting rate for the October 16 re- and by-elections, which will select the heads of basic organizations in Busan, Incheon, and Yeonggwang and Gokseong in Jeollanam-do, including the superintendent of education of Seoul, was 8.98%.

According to the National Election Commission, 775,900 out of 8,645,000 voters in five constituencies participated in early voting.

By constituency, the cumulative pre-voting rate for the re-election of Yeonggwang-gun County in Jeollanam-do Province was the highest at 43.06%, followed by the election of Gokseong-gun County at 41.44%.

The by-election of Ganghwa-gun County in Incheon and Geumjeong-gu District Office in Busan recorded 27.90% and 20.63%, respectively, and the cumulative early voting rate for the Seoul Superintendent of Education by-election was 8.28%.
