Inspection of 'residual amount of animal medicine' of farmed seafood in wholesale markets nationwide

2024.10.14 오전 09:59
From today (14th) to 18th, animal medicine residue testing will be conducted on farmed seafood at wholesale markets nationwide.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said it will collect and inspect farmed seafood in wholesale markets and similar wholesale markets where large stores are concentrated so that the public can trust and consume safe seafood.

The subjects of the test are 150 species with high distribution, such as zopibolak, halibut, white-legged shrimp, eel, and catfish.

If the inspection determines that the remaining amount of animal medicine is inadequate, the fishery product will be quickly banned from sale and will be disposed of after seizure.
