Russia "Nato Nuclear Drill Only Raises Tension in Ukraine War"

NATO criticizes NATO for launching its annual nuclear deterrence exercise, "Steadfast Snow," saying Russia "only adds tension to the war."

"At a time when the conflict in Ukraine is ongoing, these exercises will only raise tensions," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a briefing on the 14th local time.

Regarding German Federal Intelligence Minister Bruno Karl's claim that "Russia is ready to attack the NATO alliance within a decade," Peskov stressed that "we are doing everything possible to achieve our security goals, and we are capable of doing so."

Regarding U.S. President Joe Biden's comments that he is ready to talk with China, North Korea and Russia to minimize the nuclear threat, Peskov said "such talks are not possible at this time."

"With nuclear powers such as the United States, Britain and France directly or indirectly intervening, it is absolutely impossible to discuss without connecting to other security issues," he added.
