Nepal's teenage mountaineer returned home after becoming the youngest to complete 14 8,000-meter high peaks in the world.

The Associated Press reported on the 14th local time that 18-year-old Nima Lindsey Sherpa was warmly congratulated at Kathmandu International Airport for her return to gold.

Nima Lindsey broke the world's youngest record in August 2022, starting with Manaslu, the world's eighth-highest mountain, and succeeding in all 14 peaks in two years.

Foreign media reported that on the morning of the 9th local time, Nima Lindsey was the youngest to complete all 14 peaks, stepping on the summit of Shishapangma, the Himalayan peak of Tibet, located 8,027 meters above sea level.

This broke the record for the youngest 14-legged runner-up at 30 years old, set by another Nepalese Sherpa."This climb is not only the pinnacle of my personal journey, it is also a tribute to all Sherpas," said

Nima Lindsey after the successful ascent.

Sherpas have played a role in supporting other people's climbs, such as guiding porters and climbs.

More and more Sherpas, like Nima Lindsey, are challenging records by themselves.

Fourteen mountains are recognized by the UIAA as over 8,000 m above sea level.
