Organizations in favor of the integration of Wanju and Jeonju propose 107 'Win-Win Development Plans'

A civic group in favor of administrative integration between Jeonju and Wanju, Jeollabuk-do, and the Wanju-gun Council for Win-Win Development held a press conference today (17th) to propose 107 projects necessary for the development of the two local governments.

The organization presented the contents as major projects, such as the "Joint Committee for Integration Promotion" deciding the name of the city after the integration and electing the chairman of the city council in the first half and the vice chairman in the second half of the year from Wanju over the next 12 years.

The organization also said, "We strongly support the promotion of special cities announced by Governor Kim Kwan-young of Jeonbuk Province," adding, "We are confident that we can grow into a metropolitan city if we speed up the relocation of public institutions and the expansion of infrastructure between Jeonju and Wanju."
