Jesse's agency, DOD, recently took special measures in connection with the fan assault incident.
"We and Jesse have had many conversations about our future activities, and after much deliberation at Jesse's request, we have decided to terminate our exclusive contract effective October 18, 2024," General Entertainment Company DOD said in an official statement today (18th).
DOD said, "I would like to apologize once again for the recent bad news that has caused concern," and added, "It is a short period of time, but I would like to express my gratitude to Jesse for being with us."
This is interpreted as a follow-up measure following the recent assault damage to Jesse's fan, which has caused a stir. In Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, an underage fan asked Jesse to take a photo in the early morning of the 29th of last month and was assaulted by Jesse's group.
Afterwards, Jesse left the scene while preventing the assault, and police were dispatched to report the victim and asked Jesse and his party about the whereabouts of the assailant, but they reportedly said they did not know.
A total of four people, including Jesse and his party, are currently being sued by the victim of the assault, and one netizen accused Jesse of concealing the criminal.
