Lee Chang-soo, head of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, reiterated that the indictment of Kim Gun-hee's stock price manipulation case at Deutsche Motors was based solely on evidence and legal principles and had no political considerations.

In a parliamentary audit of the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee today (18th), Lee said he was told by former and current prosecutors that it would be much better to prosecute Kim, but in the end, the prosecutor thought he had no choice but to look at the record and judge it according to evidence and legal principles.

He explained that he thought it was more of a political prosecutor to prosecute or delay the processing of any political demand, and that he had no intention of helping or looking after anyone, and that it would be revealed quickly.

In addition, as criticism continued over Kim's lack of investment expertise as a basis for acquittal, the question was whether Kim had enough expertise to recognize market manipulation in the process of securing supplies to supply and demand forces.

Asked if the non-prosecution was intended to repay President Yoon, Lee protested that it was an insulting question, saying that he did not have the grace he received from the president and that he did not want to become the chief of the central prosecutor's office.
