Gas Station Gas Prices Rise in 12 Weeks..."It's possible that it will go up next week, too".

Petrol and diesel prices sold at domestic gas stations have risen together in 12 weeks this week.

According to the Korea National Oil Corporation's oil price information system Opinet, the average gasoline price in the third week of October was 1,591.6 won per liter, up 6.2 won from the previous week.

Seoul, which has the highest price, showed an increase of 8.4 won from the previous week to 1,661.7 won, and Daegu, which has the lowest price, showed an increase of 6.3 won to 1,553.9 won.

Diesel prices rose 4.9 won to 1,421.5 won per liter.

The rise in oil prices is due to the fact that international oil prices, which have been on the rise since late last month due to the intensifying conflict between Iran and Israel, have been reflected in domestic prices.

However, international oil prices fell this week due to foreign media reports that Israel would not attack Iran's oil and nuclear facilities and are reflected in domestic gas station prices with a difference of two to three weeks.

The Korea National Oil Association predicts that oil prices will remain strong next week as there are still rising factors.
