A rare version of the U.S. Constitution, issued 237 years ago, was sold at the North Carolina Brunk auction house for 9 million dollars and 12.3 billion won in our money.

On the 17th local time, Brunk Auction sold the document, which had been preserved as a private collection, through a private auction, and did not disclose the name of the winning bidder.

The document is one of the first copies of the constitution sent by the U.S. Congress to each state for ratification.

It was printed in 1787 and is the ninth of the known copies left to date, and was found two years ago in a farm filing cabinet in Edenton, North Carolina.

The auction also sold a Confederate treaty printed in 1776 for $1 million.
