Regardless of who wins next month's U.S. presidential election, investors in cryptocurrency market leader Bitcoin options have started investing, believing that prices will rise by the end of next month.
Bloomberg reported that options investors believe Bitcoin could reach $80,000 by the end of next month.
$80,000 is currently 20% higher than the $67,000 price per bitcoin and 10% higher than the all-time high recorded in March.
"The market assessment is that Bitcoin is likely to perform well regardless of the results of the presidential election," a cryptocurrency brokerage said. "Election-related option transactions are mainly attributed to price increases."
Former President Donald Trump expressed a virtual currency-friendly stance, and Vice President Kamala Harris also said she would set up a system for the virtual currency industry, showing a different stance from the punishment-oriented Biden administration.
