Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, said, "I told representative Han to see him" over the second round of talks being pursued with representative Han Dong-hoon, the People's Power.
Lee made the remarks to reporters as he left the venue after attending a forum hosted by a media company in Jongno-gu, Seoul with a representative.
When asked when he asked to meet, Lee replied, "I'm tuning it."
Han Min-soo, a spokesman for the Democratic Party, also explained that Lee ordered Lee Hae-sik, the party's chief of staff, to discuss the agenda, timing and method of the meeting with Han Dong-hoon.
Earlier, representative Lee said to a representative ahead of a meeting with Yoon Suk Yeol's president on the 21st, "I look forward to meeting with the opposition leader if I have the opportunity," and on the same day, representative Han said, "Representative Han has decided to readily respond to the demand for talks."
