[Incheon] Incheon New Port Entry Road Underground Car passing the government's review of the construction project.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority said that the construction project of the underground roadway of the Incheon New Port entrance has conditionally passed the Ministry of Public Administration and Security's central investment review.

In the course of the project, the Incheon Economic Office plans to start construction in earnest with the aim of completing it in 2029 by preparing a plan to minimize inconveniences and complaints from residents.

The project will cost 296.2 billion won to build a 5.253-kilometer-long underground roadway and an overpass between Incheon New Port-daero and Hogupo-ro, and passed a preliminary government feasibility study in July.

The Incheon Economic Agency plans to separate the ground into urban traffic and underground freight traffic to prevent noise, dust and traffic accidents caused by truck traffic.
