Rumpiskin, a livestock epidemic, occurred on a farm in Wonju, Gangwon Province.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs said yesterday (25th) morning that they found a cow with suspected rumpis skin at a Korean beef farm in Munmak-eup, Wonju, and examined it thoroughly and confirmed it to be positive.
Earlier yesterday morning, Rumpiskin was also confirmed at Korean beef farms in Inje, Gangwon-do, and Dangjin, Chungnam, and three confirmed cases were found yesterday alone.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs plans to temporarily suspend movement of workers and vehicles at livestock-related facilities in cities and counties adjacent to the region where the confirmed case occurred, and bury infected cows.
This year, the number of confirmed cases of Rumpiskin has increased to 13.
