In addition to the power of the people, a consultative body will be launched in which the Democratic Party of Korea will discuss pledges for people's livelihoods.

The purpose is to introduce pledges and bills for people's livelihood that the ruling and opposition parties agreed on together in the last general election regardless of political disputes.

The consultative body consists of four key leadership members: Kim Sang-hoon and Jin Sung-joon, chairman of the policy committee, and Bae Joon-young and Park Sung-joon, deputy floor leader.

First of all, the agenda to be dealt with is expected to include support measures for future food industries such as semiconductors and AI and support measures for small business owners and small and medium-sized companies.

Preparation of low birth rate measures, revival of district parties, and abolition of parliamentary privileges are also expected to be on the table.

Among them, the power of the people is showing their will to consult, especially the issue of low birth rate, which is directly related to the existence of the state.

[Kim Sang-hoon / Chairman of the People's Power Policy Committee (last 24th): We will prioritize various policies related to responding to low birth rate and promote discussion in a speedy manner.]

The Democratic Party also says that if the direction is the same in a big frame, let's not put restrictions on the agenda, and that it can also discuss sharp agendas such as how to solve the medical crisis and introduce financial investment income tax.

Earlier, representatives Han Dong-hoon and Lee Jae-myung agreed to form a public welfare pledge consultative body at their first meeting last month,
It is reported that the launch of a consultative body between the two parties has accelerated as the government audit, which has lasted for about a month, has entered the final stage.

[Cho Seung-rae / Senior Spokesperson for the Democratic Party (last month) : We decided to make a framework for consultation to promote common public livelihood pledges. I think that's the most important agreement.]

Although the confrontation is sharp due to representative Lee's judicial risks and the Kim Gun-hee Special Prosecutor Act, attention is being paid to whether the ruling and opposition parties will be able to reach an agreement on bills for people's livelihoods through the formation of the consultative body.
