The unveiling ceremony of the monument in the village of Saint Saengwon will be held to commemorate Hansen's missionary work.

The unveiling ceremony of the Seongsaengwon village marker stone was held yesterday (27th) at the Seongsaengwon Church in Namyangju City to commemorate the Hansen missionary work and the private order of migrant workers.

Saint Saengwon Village was purchased in 1962 by Anglican missionary Father Roger Tenant with a donation from the American Episcopal Church, which provided free of charge to Hansenians and became a Maseok Furniture Corporation with foreign migrant workers.

Even if the region is developed in the future, a marker was built with the hope that the history and precious meaning of its beginning will be remembered.
