The ruling and opposition parties have decided to set up a consultative body to promote public livelihood and common commitments and first deal with the public livelihood bill discussed at the leadership meeting of the ruling and opposition parties early last month.

Kim Sang-hoon, chairman of the policy committee of the People's Power, and Jin Sung-joon of the Democratic Party of Korea, and the vice floor leader of the ruling and opposition parties met at the National Assembly and announced the agreement.

The ruling and opposition parties agreed to speed up efforts to revitalize the semiconductor and AI industries, expand the power grid of national institutions, support small business owners and self-employed people, and come up with measures to ease the burden on household debt.

The consultative body plans to handle the bill autonomously when the chief deputy floor leader and the policy office hand it over to each standing committee under the supervision of the policy committee chairman of both parties.

Kim Sang-hoon, chairman of the People's Power Policy Committee, said, "If possible, a pension discussion body should be agreed to come up with a reform plan that the public expects," adding, "We look forward to discussing a joint resolution on the dispatch of North Korean troops to Russia."

Jin Sung-joon, chairman of the Democratic Party's policy committee, also said he will do his best to handle policies for people's livelihoods regardless of the political situation, and that he expects an agreement because representative Han Dong-hoon agreed to improve the system to revitalize party politics, including the revival of the district party.
