In preparation for the dry weather in autumn and the increased risk of forest fires caused by North Korean garbage balloons, the Seoul Metropolitan Government set tomorrow (1st) to December 15 as the "Autumn Wildfire Warning Period" and conducted joint drills with related agencies to extinguish forest fires.

This training assumes a wildfire with a heat timer attached to a North Korean garbage balloon, and more than 450 people, including the city, district office, and military units, conducted fire extinguishing drills together.

In addition, the city will operate a forest fire prevention headquarters during the forest fire watch period to prevent forest fires, and if North Korean garbage balloons are confirmed at night, it will set up a situation room within two hours to respond quickly to forest fire situations.

In addition, eco-friendly forest fire delay agents are sprayed in advance in areas vulnerable to forest fires, and unmanned surveillance cameras and black boxes are operated in major forests with professional surveillance personnel.
