The search for the missing crew of the Geumseong ship, which sank in Jeju, has been going on for two days.

First of all, before the briefing, I would like to pray for the rest of the people who died in the accident yesterday.

I will brief you on the search for the sinking fishing boat No. 130 Venus.

This is the result of the search on the first day of the accident conducted yesterday, November 8th.

On the weekend, 13 aircraft, including 26 coast guard ships, six navy ships, eight government offices, and 17 civilian fishing boats, were mobilized to focus on the accident area, reflecting the results of the seawater flow prediction system.

During the search, the patrol ship collected 24 missing items such as refrigerator debris and fishing nets, and confirmed the location of the ship that sank the ship.

Members of the Jeju Coast Guard and the Central Special Rescue Team conducted a total of five underwater searches and checked a number of fishing nets of the sunken fishing boat during the underwater search, but no missing persons were found.

In addition, as the Navy's rescue ship arrived at the scene, the Coast Guard and Navy held a business cooperation meeting for underwater search at the site of the accident and discussed role sharing and search methods.The Navy of

identified the location of the object believed to be a sunken ship using a torpedo or equipment and is continuously conducting an underwater search.

At night, five aircraft dropped 177 incendiary bombs and 46 ships conducted sea searches.

Next, we plan to search for the second day of the accident today, November 9.

Today, reflecting the results of the seawater flow prediction system, the search area will be expanded to 37km wide and 19km long, and more than 50 civil, government, and military ships will be mobilized to conduct maritime searches, and more than 400 people will conduct maritime patrols on land.

The Navy rescue ship will use the ROU to check the exact location and conditions of the sunken vessel and search the seabed around the location of the accident.

Private rescue company Baji Crane is also on the way to the site.

We will mobilize nine aircraft on weekends to conduct aerial searches and continue the search by dropping flare at night.

Currently, the weather in the area of the accident is 8-10m per second in the northeast wind and the wave height is about 1.5m.

Here are the family support for missing persons.

We are informing the family members of the crew of the search in detail, and the Indonesian crew was informed of the accident through the embassy.

The Coast Guard is providing temporary accommodation for sailors and supporting the operation of 1:1 family communication rooms, while the Jeju Provincial Government operates an accident management headquarters and a family waiting room to support the families of missing people.
