It's been about an hour and 20 minutes since I passed Giheung Station without stopping in the aftermath of the train fire.
Around 7:30 a.m. today (18th), a fire broke out from an electricity supply device above the train that was stopping at the reception line.
Fire authorities dispatched put out all the fires in 20 minutes, and fortunately, no one was injured.
However, in the aftermath of the fire, all 600 passengers on the accident train got off and evacuated from the station,
I had inconvenience moving to other transportation such as
bus.
A citizen on the train said he heard a sudden "pop" on YTN and also smelled acrid.
Korail explained that it resumed train traffic after completing the inspection of facilities around the fire site.
The accident train will be sent to the base to determine the exact cause, he explained.
